Classroom Procedures
Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
Place your cell phone in the classroom phone holder when you enter the room. All phones must be POWERED OFF — not on silent, and not on vibrate — and must remain in the holder for the entire class period, including during bathroom breaks. Keeping your phone in your backpack, pocket, purse, or anywhere else is not permitted.
Keep laptops and every other device — headphones, smart watches, smart glasses, tablets — zipped away in your backpack and out of sight, unless I have directed you to use them for a class activity.
Demonstrate appropriate classroom behavior and etiquette, so that everyone has a comfortable and productive place to learn.
Participate actively in class. Learning a language requires you to listen, speak, respond, and engage. Participation is an expected part of this course and is reflected in your grade.
Complete and submit your work on time. (The late work policy is under the tab Grading Policies)
Respect your classmates and their contributions. You do not have to agree with every comment or opinion, but you are expected to listen and respond respectfully.
Bring the necessary materials to class each day.
Keep food, gum, and drinks other than water out of the classroom unless I have given permission.
Complete your own work and maintain academic integrity. Cheating and plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, will not be accepted. This includes using ChatGPT, other AI tools, online translators, or similar resources to complete work. It applies to homework, classwork, quizzes, tests, projects, essays, and every other assignment. If you find information online, you are required to paraphrase it in your own words, do your own original thinking, and cite your source.
Academic dishonesty will result in a zero on the assignment and additional consequences in accordance with school policy, including contact with your parent or guardian, your counselor, and administration.
Consequences
Behavior consequence:
1st offense: warning
2nd offence: conversation after class
3rd offense: email and/or phone call home. Administration will be notified.
4th offense: email/phone call home and assign detention. Administration will be notified.
Tardies:
4th time: email home
5th time: assign detention
Devices (P-CEP policy)
If you access any tech device — phone, headphones, laptop, smart watch, smart glasses, tablet — during class time without permission,
or fail to put your phone in the holder before the bell rings:
1st offense: device taken for the remainder of the hour / warning
2nd offence: device will be taken to main office and student can retrieve it at the end of the school day. Administration will be notified.
3rd offense: device will be taken to the main office for PARENT or GUARDIAN to retrieve. Administration will be notified.
Common Practices
Les sacs à dos — On the floor, never on the tables, and as far out of the walkways as you can manage.
Le passe — Sign out at the front of the room and take our hallway pass. Only ONE person out at a time. Respect the time.
Les devoirs et la ramassage — Your name goes on your paper, and your paper goes in the bin for your hour. No torn spiral edges.
Votre cahier — Your name and the date at the top of every page, so that I can check your work quickly.
La sortie — Clean up your desk and stay seated. I dismiss you, not the bell. Be sure to take your phone on your way out.

Why choose me as your mentor?
I am Tati Uribe, and the most powerful reason I can give you is simple: I am going to help you walk at a fast pace, a path that many entrepreneurs take years on. I started in 2012 and, because I did not have the necessary knowledge, it took me more than 5 years to position my personal brand. Despite this, I have a community of more than 400,000 people (between Instagram and YouTube). I also opened my digital agency, where we help more than 100 clients around the world to manage their marketing strategies for impactful online communication. In 2018 I launched my advisory and mentoring service for entrepreneurs. Today I have accompanied the path of more than 1,500 people with a high degree of satisfaction. I'd love for you to be one of them. What do you think?
